Swimming in a sea of holes

Early this morning I discovered that my long-time friend, Mr Coffee the 2nd, was no more. Just a cold lump on the counter. Oh, so cold. I had to wrest the filter basket away and use hot water from the electric kettle to have my coffee. He will be missed, but time heals and I'm sure another one, just like him, will come along; one just has to wait for the right moment. Burial arrangements are pending.
